My Story

Welcome to the online home of Heartwood Essence, my name is Mel (Melanie) Worsfold.

Heartwood Essence is proudly Australian owned and is located amongst the beautiful rolling hills in Mirboo North. I am dedicated to sustainability and fair trade and are proud to purchase my products from ethically and sustainably sourced distillers and growers from Australia and all over the world.

Using the finest, 100% pure, certified organic or wild crafted ingredients where possible in my aromatherapist formulated products. I pride myself on creating with divine, energetic intent and love... beautiful, holistic aromatic products for your body, mind and soul.

My passion for essential oils and energy work started many years ago.

My love for essential oils and learning how they could benefit and support us holistically began roughly around the time I started my nursing training over 30 years ago. I was fascinated with how they could influence us not only physically but especially emotionally and spiritually as well. This led to my many years later studying aromatherapy. A journey I am still on as I find the more I learn about essential oils and their amazing benefits the more there is to learn.

Likewise, my energetic healing journey started as a young child. I was lucky enough to be brought up in a very spiritual family. I often helped in energetic healing sessions and always felt drawn to it. Over the years I have studied many different energetic healing modalities including Reiki, Seichim, Energy Healing, Ashati Healing, Chakra Healing, Shamanism and Soul Rescue. And just like aromatherapy I am continuously learning.

I love them both. I love how they both complement each other and work so well together. I am so excited to be sharing both of these passions with you.
