Plant Part Used: Flowers 

Properties: Digestive, carminative, anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antimicrobial.  Chamomile is probably best known as a tea to calm an upset stomach or to help with sleep, stress and anxiety. Chamomile flowers are often used in teas and in topical products formulated for the hair and skin. German chamomile is also used to treat irritation from chest colds, slow-healing wounds, abscesses, gum inflammation, and skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, chickenpox, diaper rash, indigestion, intestinal gas, irritable bowel syndrome.

Suggested Uses: Tea, infusion, tincture, vinegar, bath, compress, sitz bath.

Precautions: May possibly cause irritation to those who have a sensitivity to other plants in the Asteraceae family.
