Plant Part Used: Aerials (leaves, stems, flowers)

Properties: Alterative, Demulcent, Diuretic, Expectorant, Febrifuge, Anti-Inflammatory, Lymphagogue, Nutritive, Vulnerary.  Chickweed is considered cooling, soothing and anti-inflammatory.  It can be used to soothe irritated eyes, dry coughs, heartburn, sore throats, an inflamed lymph system, irritated, itchy and red skin.  It can help support someone through chronic illness or someone recovering from long-term illness due to it being a nutrient dense plant.  

Use: Fresh, Infusion, Vinegar, Pesto. Salad, Smoothie, Juice, Poultice, Compress, Salve, Infused Oil, Cream, Tincture.

Precautions: Care should be taken if sensitive to oxalates, as they are present in the leaves.

Keep Out Of Reach Of Children.
