Botanical Name:  Urtica dioica

Family: Urticaceae

Plant Part Used: Leaf

Properties: Antirheumatic, anti-inflammatory, galactagogue, astringent, diuretic, nutritive tonic.  Nettle leaf may be used as a nourishing herbal infusion or tonic due to it being very high in nutrients such as calcium, protein, potassium, flavonoids, vitamin k, iron and many more.  It can also be used to help with eczema, psoriasis and acne, to help build back up reserves after a long or intense illness, to help support us through challenging transitions or times when we have extra workloads.  It can be used to help with urinary tract infections and to help treat allergies and hay fever.   

Use: Infusion, tincture, vinegar, salt, powder, tea.

Precautions: Nettles can have a strong diuretic effect, especially when used in a tea or ingesting it.  For those who already have dry skin or hair, using nettle may increase the dry symptoms.   

Keep Out Of Reach Of Children.

Discontinue Use If Irritation Occurs.
